Café Bahareque® Premium is part of the specialty coffees family in the Valle region, produced thanks to the work and effort of 2,200 associated families in 12 municipalities of the department, where their people have been focusing on a different, more humane, sustainable and better quality coffee production.

Bahareque® is produced under a fair and collaborative model in which coffee growers receive a compensation that is greater than that in the traditional market, for having distinctive and outstanding characteristics in each microlot of coffee.

Each Bahareque® bean is hand-selected, stored in humidity and temperature controlled conditions and then threshed, roasted and packed individually, in a careful work that ensures the traceability of the process from planting to its final transformation, preserving its exceptional characteristics.

From Cafenorte we strive for an innovative associative model, whose core focus is the coffee grower and a better quality of life through the generation of added value to their product, which is why we have designed and implemented unique tools in the country to serve the coffee culture, such as the Coffee Tasting and Quality Center, the first tasting laboratory in Colombia certified by the Specialty Coffee Association of America - SCAA , the Cafenorte Barista School, whose purpose is to praise all the work behind each cup of coffee and bring the young children of coffee growers along to join the coffee transformation process,

the Microlot Threshing and Roasting Center, which allows associated producers to process their specialty coffee and have it ready for commercialization and consumption; and the Soil and Leaves Laboratory, the only laboratory of this type in the region, aimed at making more efficient fertilization plans, minimizing the environmental impact , the costs of inputs, and increasing the productivity of the agricultural sector of the Northern Valle del Cauca and Eje Cafetero regions.

We strongly believe that achieving a more humane and sustainable coffee culture can only happen through a cooperative model whose standards diverge from traditional coffee commercialization and create added value to the coffee farmer's product by increasing quality, productivity and competitiveness.
